Called Felicia to tell her about never having the first two pages of THE INFERNAL BINARY MACHINE. She was very appreciative.
Jerry Dougherty had called when she was out. She later tried to call him but didn't get him. Maybe it has something to do with GO SEE. (The decision form Continental Airlines was delayed because of the California earthquake.

Rcd. Feb. PLAYTHINGS. Had pcs. on WILD LIFE and WOMEN'S LIB (which is why Felicia brought them up yes- terday.)

Rcd. the AIRLINE contract from Mary Hilt. It is a much worse contract than our previous one, with no closing fee. Sent one copy to Tom Atwater with a letter. Also pointed out that I never rcd. a contract for TRANSFORMATION.
Mary in her letter said that she had had a nice meeting with Tom Atwater on 2/8.

Rcd. two copies of the cover page and the page with my article from the 12/27/70 GRIT. From Jack Davis.

Started a letter to Lech Pijanowski. Sending him the rules for HAAR HOOLIM PERCEPTION GAMES and INTERPLAY.

Called Carl Eisenberg. Will go there Friday to pick up MANHATTAN MADNESS.

Claude called. He and the kid, Bob, who did a war GAME would like to go to the skunk works Friday and, if possible, show the game. I said I was pretty sure that it was OK, but that I'd call Jim Dunnigan to check. Claude will call me tomorrow. We will meet at Tad's and then go together.

Played two hands of LAWSUIT with BB. It played well and was quite pleasant.

(cont. from 2/18) [2/19] In each "empire" the largest country is divided into 10 provinces, the next into 7, and the smallest into 3 (not sure or these, and some of the other details).
In the area of the Benelux countries and Switzerland there are 5 duchies, which together with an abutting province from France, Prussia, Austria, and Italy form "The Holy Roman Empire." [crossout] Around the outer edges there are sealanes which can be followed in moving ships from one country to
