MONDAY 8 FEBRUARY 1971

39th day - 326 days to come

Called the Parker office to ask for a glossy of CROWN RED. The secretary told me that it has been dropped. She also gave me the name and telephone number for [bracket] Parker Publicity
Mike Alber
TE 8-8300

Called S&R and asked for a glossy of OPINION. She'll send it today. Looked at the rules.

Rcd. a glossy of LAWSUIT, also some P.R. materials and a letter saying that he was putting out 3 new games by the middle of the year and will send me copies of the GAMEs.

Rcd. the [crossout] report for AGOG (ending 9/30/70). Due to returns I am $138.26 in the hole.

Rcd. some material from S&T. A long letter from Stephen M. Beckett who says, among a lot of other things, that he likes my column and loves ACQUIRE.
A letter, addressed to me, from William C. Williams saying that he liked AGOG and ABBOTT'S NEW CARD GAMES. He would like to see a new magazine devoted to off beat games and sent an excellent outline of what its contents should be. A complete description of a game by J. Peter Le Brooy, called RAID. He sent it in 1969, asking if S&T would like to acquire rights to the game.
A listing of the publication dates of upcoming S&Ts, S&T SUPPLEMENTS, and a new one to me, GAME DESIGN.

Wrote to Albert Richter, who sent me a letter about his games QUADRUME and DELL and is interested in an agent. Wrote to Daniel Rabin who wrote about SLAM. [arrows pointing left and to sentence above.] (COMBINATION too) Wrote to John Champlin telling him I couldn't possibly find time to write for INTERPLANITARY COMMUNICATOR for the present.

The "press card" did not come with the other material from S&T.

Felicia called. She called Bob Edwards at X. His call was about something other than my games. She did ask about WHAT'S IT WORTH TO YOU? and he thinks it was stolen from the shipping room. They will check further and if they can't find it they will reimburse me.
They will not be at the Toy Fair, but will be at Stationery Show, and Felicia thinks they may be announcing then.
They want to see Claude's DUEL and ECLIPSE. She sent the models by parcel post and wanted to contact Claude to have him send her the rules. I told him I'd tell him, and did.
