FRIDAY 29 JANUARY 1971

29th day - 336 days to come

To Gametime (after calling and talking to the secretary). Bob Hallowell not there, but the secretary gave me a copy of TRI TAC TOE. She also called up Bob Reiss and arranged for me to go there and looked at the model of NINE OF SWORDS. Also met Jean, the new secretary Bob will have in Mt. Kisco.
To Bob Reiss. He showed me the model of NINE OF SWORDS which looked rather good. He said that buyer reaction is good. He left shortly for an appointment. I looked around and saw:
WELL KONO: - The board is as shown. [Drawing on left of page with a square of three columns and a circle in each corner, two with "A" and two "B" written in the circle. Diagonal, horizontal, and vertical lines connect the circles as well as a circle in the center with no letter. Connecting the two "B" circles in the bottom corners is a line with a darkened dot in on the line.] Each player has 2 pcs. which are started as shown. Player A moves first and then play alternates. A move is along a line to an empty hole. When a player is forced to jump over the small black circle he loses one point. First to lose 3 points loses the game.
TRIPLE CROSS:- This is a puzzle with 3 pieces that must be fitted together at right angles to each other. (Both were put out by Skor-Mor.)

To Felicia's and Claude there. (He treated us to sandwiches and coffee.) I gave LIVE WIRE to Felicia. She had trouble putting the pieces on the board but then Claude showed her that it was easy to figure out the place- ment.
Claude showed her DUEL and she liked it. She'll write to X about it while Claude will take the rules back and add a rule that in order to win a round a player must win 3 games in a row.
Claude showed her ECLIPSE. She didn't care too much for the type, but thinks X might. She'll check with them.
Claude wants to add a rule to DEDUCTION that will insure a good mix of different types of info- mation. (I didn't get the details.) He'll write it up and she'll send it to X.
I asked Felicia if she had heard anything about my model for WHAT'S IT WORTH TO YOU? She wrote about it but didn't get an answer yet.
Felicia called Bill Caruson to ask if we will be getting a separate check for foreign sales of ACQUIRE and BAZAAR. He wasn't in so she'll write to him today.
I told Felicia about the TRIPLE CROSS puzzle and the con- flict with my game. She'll write to X about it.

Claude and I walked to Altman's. I bought a copy of FIRST DOWN! - marked down from $15 to $7.50 - and it seemed somewhat different from other
