X'Mas card from <u>Frank Thibault</u> with note. He has a contract for a  <br><u>GAME</u> with Hallmark, his first try. He sees my games around a lot. <br>
Wrote to <u>Frank</u>. Told him about <u>PROFIT</u>. Asked about  <br><u>CONTIGO</u>, <u>FRANCHISE</u> and <u>SKULLDUGGERY</u>.
Rcd. <u>NOST-ALGIA</u> (Dec. '71, No. 140). Contains rules for <u>EULER  SQUARES</u> which <u>Bill Rawlings</u> says is an improvement on <u>TEN-SQUARE</u> by <u>John Thayer</u>. <br>
The backnumbers I was interested in are still available.
Called <u>Arnold Edson</u> to say I'd be willing to try to write instructions for  <br><u>NIMBI</u> et al. He said that he'll try it today himself, then bring it up to Gabriel. He'll call me tomorrow to let me know what turns out.
Sent X'Mas cards to <u>Roy Assenheimer</u> (see 12/11), <u>Warren Buell</u>, & <u>Paul Greenough</u>. <br>
Sent X'Mas cards & short thank you messages to the following who complimented me in answered the <u>SLEUTH</u> problem : <u>R.A. Jesser</u>, <u>Arthur J. Whitaker</u>, <u>Gary Carlson</u>, <u>D. Kucera</u>.
<u>Bob Gellman</u> called. He found an outfit who sells slides and has  <br>
their catalog. He may use them if he can't come to terms with  <br>
<u>Martine Gilcrest</u>, even tho the quality is probably not as good.  <br>
Went over the cities I chose to see that they had enough  <br>
slides. They did. We may change Abidjan to Casablanca  <br>
and Tel-Aviv to Jerusalem. I suggested that we get <u>Ruth Shaler</u> into a conference to pick the best sights for each city. (This actually happened tomorrow. Bob called this day, but I can't remember specifically why.) <u>JET HOLIDAY</u>. In the call he agreed that Bob would call <u>Felicia</u> to set up a date.
<u>Ruth Shaler</u> called to thank me about <u>JET HOLIDAY</u>. She also  <br>
said that she felt guilty ever splitting royalties since I had  <br>
done so much more. I said that there wouldn't have been a  <br>
game without her original idea. She said we'd discuss it again  <br>
and I didn't say "No." Set up a tentative date at <u>Felicia</u>'s at 2:00 P.M. on 1/18/72.
Finished reading <u>YOUR MOVE</u> which I have been looking at in odd moments.
Working on a layout of cards for <u>FOREIGN INTRIGUE</u>.
Went over the solution I originally had for <u>SEARCH</u> problem, making it applicable to <u>SLEUTH</u>.

England. He is visiting his parents near here and was interested <br>
