At "Cross Country" bought 4 sheets of cardboard and
a container of 3M glue.
At "Wanamaker's" looked at DIMENSIONS by "Pacific Games".
It is played by from 2 to 4 players on a 4 x 4 x 4
field. The rules said that each player had 16 chips
but they also said that play continued until all
spaces were filled (how - with 2 or 3 players?)
Players in turn place a chip in any space or,
instead of placing a chip, can turn one of the upper
3 boards 1/4 turn in a clockwise direction.
Lines of 3 of a player's chips count 1 point in a
horizontal plane and lines of 4 count 2 points.
In a vertical plane (Including a long diagonal I believe)
a line of 3 counts 3 points and 4 counts
4 points.
Lines are scored as formed and in the case of
a turned board more than 1 line can be turned at a
time. Most points when all spaces are filled wins.

Mailed registered letters to myself on TRANSFORMATION
and FREE FORM. In the latter included drawings of
the equipment.

Made the PUZZLE of 9/14 into a 2-hand GAME by
giving a definite starting position, allowing more
than 1 move in a turn (up to a total of 5).
Tried it with BB and it worked O.K.

with me. I said sure and Phil asked me to call Carl.
Called and told Carl that Phil and I agreed on $250
as an advance. He didn't sound quite as enthusiastic about
MANHATTAN MADNESS to me as he had to Phil, but it does
look encouraging. His budget from "Guud" is not certain yet
but he is pretty sure. He'd like the rules by Jan. 11, unless
he contacts me otherwise. Reiss wants to do M.M for
$5, $6 at the most .
