MONDAY 9 NOVEMBER 1970

313th day - 52 days to come

Rcd. a letter from Kathy Brooks with a rough set of the EXECUTIVE DECISION rules. They changed the rules to have a player lose all his purchase, or sales, if he is even $1 off.
I tried to call Keith Tuggle, collect, but he is out of town and won't be back for about 2 weeks.
Wrote to Kathy Brooks suggesting that my rules be put in at the end of the instructions as "optional for advanced players." Returned the rules with a few minor corrections noted.

Wrote to Jim Kraus concerning PROFIT, MONAD and Mrs. Gans, the idea for a game he sent me - which I call PLANES, and THINKING MAN'S BASKETBALL.

Rcd. FITTING & PROPER contract and check from Felicia. BB deposited check in chemical.

On S&T column wrote up QUERIES 'N THEORIES & started SMOG.

BB finished typing THE INFERNAL BIANARY MACHINE and I started adding the diagrams.

In evening called Tom Atwater. He's trying to contact Hank Lamb to find out about the royalties on TEMPO, ODD OR EVEN, INTERPLAY, DOZO, & CASTILE, so far without success. When he saw Hank in St. Paul Hank told him he definitely wanted to do my AIRLINE and TRANSFORMATION and Alex' TOUR and possibly his MAD MATE. We still haven't gotten the contracts however.
I said that I wouldn't send TANGLED WEB to Hank until we got some action from them. Tom agreed. I mentioned that Felicia might be showing it to someone else. But that I had other puzzles for Hank if it gets to a point where we can send them.

"Macy's" X'Mas book had the following 3M games STOCKS AND BONDS, FEUDAL, and FACTS IN FIVE.

Dana played ALL MY DIAMONDS with his group. They liked it.

Called John Ward at CBS-radio. I'm to call him back on 12/2. If by then I can't go downtown, he'll come here. Then we'll discuss the form of the interview. Told him I wasn't up on the latest sports games.
Called Jack Davis to tell him of my call to John Ward.
