Twenty Fourth Sunday after Trinity 312th day - 53 days to come

Wrote up BLACKS & WHITES GAME & VENTURE. Jim Dunnigan called me in the evening and I told him that I'd have the S&T column finished by Tuesday.

Claude and Anne here in evening. Claude brought me the copy of TINTON JOKER he bought in Canada. It is a card game and looks a little different.
The 4 of us played two games of CARDINO. It was simple but there was opportunity for choice and it did hold the interested.
Claude and I were talking about children's puzzles and I brought up Fabio's suggestion that I do a book on children's puzzles. He is toying with the idea of doing such a book. I said I'd introduce him to Fabio. He said he didn't think there would be any trouble in interesting another publisher in it. I said that if he worked up an outline and a sample chapter and couldn't sell it to another publisher I would then introduce him to Fabio.
Showed Pierre's LE LIVRE DES JEUX to Claude. He liked it. I said I would try to get him a copy for him, since he did send WATCH to Pierre.
Claude saw some 3M games advertised in the Oct. (I think) SCIENTIFIC AMERICAN. None of mine.

I asked Jack if he had written to "3M" about my comments on the BAZAAR packaging. He said that he wrote a report saying that it was the most popular of the games, [crossout] at my demonstration at the "Hallmark" exhibit. He didn't say anything about the packaging because of office politics. I said I'd take it up when I saw Keith or Bill in person.
