FRIDAY 6 NOVEMBER 1970

310th day - 55 days to come

Rcd. THE GAMESLETTER - #23. Don thanked Chris Lewin and me for sending him info on RITHMOMACHY. Chris Lewin lives in England and is interested in books on old board games and CHESS. In his letter Don Miller suggested that I contact him.

Phil Orbanes called from Bob Hallowell's office. Bob is in a hurry to have a signed contract and Phil has to investigate which corp. to have sign the contract. He suggested my signing and then assigning the rights to the corp. I suggested instead that he sign it for one corp. and then assign it to the other if necessary. He thought that was a good idea. Once he gets this settled he will send me a contract for my share of royalties from NINE OF SWORDS.

Felicia called. The contract came for FITTING & PROPER. It reads that they will have it out by Dec. 1971. Felicia said we should be happy to take it - no one is buying anything right now. I said OK, as long as they show some signs of actually moving. Felicia will send me the contracts and my check by mail.

Looked at the rules of BLACKS & WHITES GAME. Also of PLOY and later played it with Phil. It was an excellent game. Phil won.

Told Phil about AQUARIUS 2000 being mentioned in "Cue Magazine." I'll mail him the page. It will probably be mentioned in Look.

NEW YORK Magazine came with John Simon's play reviews, titled A GAMUT OF GAMES.
