MONDAY 28 SEPTEMBER 1970

271st day - 94 days to come

Called Mickey Mackay and begged off on our date for today. She was just as happy since she has a busy week.

Wrote the rules for FITTING & PROPER and BB typed them.

To Felicia bringing her FITTING & PROPER and jiffy bag I picked up in a stationery store. Also brought her the copy of the CHRISTIAN SCIENCE MONITOR article.
She was depressed - because the treasurer at "S&R" told her the sales of all their games (which includes BALI) were soft - and because she hasn't been hearing from X.
I asked her if she had the analysis of FITTING & PROPER that Steve Barkoczy did. She didn't but she called him and I spoke to him. What he did was come up with a set of rules just to show Felicia he could do it - in hope of [crossout] rule writing assignments. So far they are on tape and I suggested his not investing time in transcribing them.

To see Mrs. Freedman of "Bridgepoint" (see 8/20). There before going to Felicia but she was busy. Returned af- ter and talked for an hour and a half (mainly she talked about graphoanalysis, including her analysis of my writing). Showed her TANGLED WEB and she liked it. However they (Bridgepoint I guess) are not putting out anything till next spring. She suggested dropping in occasionally and show- ing whatever I have available.
At her showroom they handle the Stancraft games, TEMPO and INTERPLAY being on display. She said the line is moving very well.

Felicia had an ad for a game for sale in "B. Altman" (from today's Times). FIRST DOWN! (TGD Games) $15.00. Contains 40 basic plays on 20 play cards, defense card, information chart, offensive and defensive pieces, dice, etc.

Rcd. a letter from Kathy Brooks about EXECUTIVE DECISION, the fact that the market calculator only goes up to 24 units and 36 can be ordered (but she overlooked the fact that they are divided between 3 types of ma- terial).

Rcd. INTERNATIONAL WARGAMER (Vol. 3, No. 7) plus a supple- ment and a complete game SEARCH AND DESTROY by Bill Hoyer & Chris Johnson. (The supplement was decorated with peace symbols.)

Albert Field called and I located the Marshal McLuhan cards. There was no manufacturer listed. [crossout] Even if I give him my set he still has to track down
