Working on Game Diary a good part of the day.
Thinking of a <u>PUZZLE</u> which might go something like this. On  <br>
the 25 center squares of a 7 x 7 grid, place 25 pcs. which have  <br>
one color on one side and another color on the other side. Any pc.  <br>
can be jumped over an adjoining pc. or continuous row of pcs.,  <br>
orthogonally or diagonally [illegible crossed out] to an adjoining empty  <br>
space. A pc. or pcs. passed over are turned over. Object is to get  <br>
all pcs. turned over to opposite color.  <br>
Different starting positions can be used , or even random.  <br>
Or cubes could be turned thru a definite series.  <br>
A <u>GAME</u> could be played with each player (2) having  <br>
one of the colors and scoring for certain configurations of  <br>
their color. With cubes  6 can play.

<u>FITTING & PROPER</u> and we'd submit it to X but would  <br>
insist on a contract that would require rediscussion  <br>
if it is not out by next spring's stationery show.  <br>
"Urban Systems" will be coming out with the following games : -  <br>
<u>LIFE IN THE WATER</u>, <u>WHY ARE LEAVES GREEN?</u>, <u>WHAT MOVES LIFE?</u>,  <br>
<u>LIFE FROM DEATH</u>, <u>CHAIN OF BEING</u>, <u>PREDATOR PREY</u> - These  <br>
will be shipped in Sept. and will retail for $6.  <br>
<u>POPULATION</u> and <u>ECOLOGY</u> will be published later in the year.

Asked for <u>Steve Solomon</u> at Arrco. Not in and noone else  <br>
would help me with <u>SKARNEY DICE</u>. Was told to call in  <br>
the morning.  <br>
At S. & R. got instructions for <u>CARD CUBES</u> (these appear to be supplementary) (Later saw that they were just a rough set of final) and <u>OPINION POLL</u>. Also got 2(these appear to be supplementary)
decks of cards for the latter.(these appear to be supplementary)
At Parker looked at <u>SMESS</u> (See 9/5 for board). <br>
has 12 pieces started as shown. The Brain and the Ninnys <br>
move 1 space in any direction with an arrow. Numskulls  <br>
move as far as desired in a straight line <s>with</s> from the  <br>
starting arrow. Ninnys are promoted to Numskulls when they  <br>
reach the opposite side, providing that one has been cap-  <br>
