TUESDAY 4 AUGUST
1970 216th day - 149 days to come

Rcd. a check for $2603.92 for AGOG. They deducted
$144.00 for Author Alterations.

Called Brian Blake during day and asked him to call
me in the evening. Told him of leaving engineering at
the end of August and that I'd have plenty of
time then to work on the Memory GAME.

Thought of changing TORTURE TOWER to THE IMPOSSIBLE.

At lunch to Felicia with the contract for EXECUTIVE DECISION.
I brought up the question of the $125 - $125 split on
the advance. She called "Redpath" at 3M and said she
thought it should be a closing fee. He said he would
check. Later Felicia called me at the office to say
that Keith Tuggle had called her and apologized; cross

the contracts to the office so that I could initial the change.

Made repros of the 2 clippings and mailed them to Paul Wong
in the evening.

Called Anthony Dickins. He called me back later.
Made date for lunch this coming Saturday.

Jerry D'Arcey called. He was on his way to eat with
Frank Thibault and decided to check how I was
doing so they could talk about it during the evening.
Gave him the news about the games that are out

said that I wouldn't really know how wonderful it
is until I actually start.
His royalty for the 2nd quarter on PLUG-A-JUG was
about $10,000. HOOKER, with a Texas firm, will sell for $8.50 and
they expect to sell a million. He'll be satisfied with 1/10th.

THE IMPUZZABLES "Lakeside" tells him are doing well. I
mentioned that I don't see them around and neither does he.

"Samsonite" has given him $500 to hold COMMODITY for
another month. They are trying to cut the production
costs to $1 so it can retail for $5.
He said that "Mattel" (the operation here in New Jersey) is
hungry for games and will take just about anything.
He is thinking of demanding $2,500 as an advance
for any games he sells in the future.

Wrote air letter to "Hamley's" telling them that I hadn't
