She was aware of the STAR LEDGER (Newark) article and also the NEWSDAY which was on 7/22. I told her that back numbers of the latter could be ordered and she'll order for herself & for me.
She asked if I knew any places for buying antique games and I told her of "F.A.O. Schwartz." She knew about it but not about the warehouse where a much bigger stock is kept. Also told her of "Lloyd W. Ralston" in Fairfield, Conn. (whose card I got from Dave Kornblum).

Thinking of calling the puzzle TORTURE TOWER TOWERNATION instead, but later decided against it.

I called Arthur. General conversation. He has perfected FOLLY, but I didn't take the details at present.
He rcd. a form letter for the "Raymond Lee Organization." They work on getting and selling patents for inventors. Among other items they mentioned games. He didn't know how they happened to contact him - they said it was in answer to his inquiry, which he hadn't made.

Dale & Phil started a game of TRANSFORMATION but claimed that the game went on and on with one player not allowing the other to make a score. As I figured, they misinterpreted the rules. I played Phil and beat him quickly.
Later Phil tried TORTURE TOWER. Didn't solve it but it kept him interested for more than half an hour.

was already in production. (He had spoken to Tom before approaching 3M and then had said "I really don't need you, do I?" Tom agreed, but when the guy couldn't swing it he came back and Tom did.)
After Tom left Hank took me to lunch. He said that he hadn't realized how knowledgeable I was on games. We dis- cussed the possibility of my doing work on some of the games they get submitted. I said that if it is just a matter of some comments on the game, I would do it
