THURSDAY 23 JULY 1970
204th day - 161 days to come
Felicia called. She rcd. a consulting call from Boston today and
begged off on our date. Will get together the beginning of next week.
Made a set for TORTURE TOWER and it is much more pleasant
than THE THIRTEENTH TORTURE. I'll try to sell TORTURE TOWER
to X and will retire THE THIRTEENTH TORTURE. For the record
here is the set up.
[Diagram of 14 groups of 4 squares. Each group of 4 is arranged into a 2 x 2 unit. The squares are populated with what look like dice pips. There are between 0 and 4 in each. One group contains only x's.
To the right there is a 6 x 6 square grid. Each box in the grid contains a number ranging from 0 to 4:
0 3 2 2 3 3
4 1 1 3 4 0
4 2 4 2 0 1
1 4 2 3 0 3
2 0 3 1 3 4
2 3 1 2 3 2
This is marked as the 'solution'.]
John Geiger sent, addressed to BB two copies of an article
from the STAR-LEDGER (Newark - I believe) on the Hallmark
exhibit, and mentioning me.
Harold Sapirstein from our office left on his vacation. He'll
be going to England. I gave him the info on HIGH FINANCE and if
he gets a chance he'll pick up a copy for me.
