WEDNESDAY 24 JUNE St. John, Baptist 1970 175th day - 190 days to come
Marvin Katz, the editor of TOYS & NOVELTIES that Mickie Mackay told me about, finally called. On the basis of AGOG he got GRIT to comision him to do an article on me. It will be run in September or somewhat later. He will come for lunch on July 18 and to take pictures and interview me. (He uses the name Marvin Kaye when he writes for GRIT.) The July T&N will contain a feature article on games, and he thinks that AGOG is mentioned. He'll bring a copy when he comes. If I want to talk to him I can get him at [phone number].
Peter Gersten called with his address: Peter Gersten, [address], [phone number] Date tomorrow right after work.
Called Brian Blake. Not in. Left word for him to call me.

When certain conditions occur on the board a player may threaten to sue another player. He may settle out of court, or he may fight if he thinks he has the cards to fight with. (Very sketchy idea.) They think it is a good game. I told them that my agent might be able to place a good legal game. If they want I will arrange for her to see it, and I don't want anything for myself out of it. They'll check with the inventor and let me know. Pete said that he had first learned about me in an article in a magazine MACHINE DESIGN. This article discussed adult games and my contributions. In the Dec. 25, 1969 issue of this mag- azine there was an article on "Think Games." He gave one a repro of this. He thinks that my article was in October or November. Looked thru some Italian and Japanese catalogs he picked up at the International Toy Show. The former were all action games, mainly soccer. The latter had only one game that looked moderatly interesting. It is called POINTS and the picture showed some col- (cont. on 6/21)
