THURSDAY 18 JUNE | |||
1970 169th day - 196 days to come

<u>Felicia</u> called. Brentano's is having a big sale in the game
department with at least 1/3 off on everything.
<u>ACQUIRE</u> was sold out (or some were put aside till after the
sale) but there were a lot of <u>BAZAAR</u>.
She saw a game <u>GHETTO</u> which lists for $24. She remembered
that Western's name was on it. She took notes about the rest of
the credits but lost them. She asked me to check on this
if I went to Brentano's. She said she was going to write to <u>Tom
Mason</u> and asked about it.
Felicia asked if I knew about <u>RENDEZVOUS IN SPACE</u>. From what she saw
on the box there it seemed more interesting to her than <u>ASTRO-FLITE</u>.
She saw M.B.'s <u>RECALL</u> marked down to a final price of $2.00.
<u>Dorothy Shapiro</u>, the Brentano buyer, says that <u>SMOG</u> and
<u>DIRTY WATER</u> are doing well. They are also ordering <u>BLACKS & WHITES</u>.
I gave Felicia the information on <u>KRYPTO</u>. She said that Dorothy
Shapiro is interested in stocking it again.
Dorothy Shapiro told Felicia that she heard from the Springbok people
that Hallmark is going into the game business.
Felicia heard from X that <u>PE-LING</u> was rcd. and was being considered.
<u>DATA</u> and <u>MARLBORO COUNTRY</u> came back O.K.
Felicia has a date next Tuesday with Y to completely discuss the game
and puzzle field. | |||
After work went to Brentano's. Bought <u>RENDEZVOUS IN SPACE</u> &
also a book <u>HANAFUDA THE FLOWER CARD GAME</u>.
Saw <u>GHETTO</u>. It is a classroom simulation game. Each participant
is given a personality folder which tells their education, family
situation, etc., and the resulting amount of available time. This
time can be invested as the player wishes: working, education, recre-
ation, small time "hustling, or big time "hustling." There are some
chance devices that affect the payoff from these investments. After
a set number of rounds the participant who has gotten the
greater "rewards" from his time is the winner. (Rough idea.)
