gave me a whole batch of correspondence with game companies that he sent to her, to read and return to her. She did some test playing of the game and didn't care too much for it. She'll submit it to X but won't bother after that. In connection with play testing games, she said that when I quit my job I-S would pay me $10 an hour to do testing. Y at present is doing so well with puzzles that they are post- poning work on games. They do not buy puzzles, developing their own. The inventor of UGLY CUBES has 5 more GAMEs. One is called SPIDER and Ruth played some of it with him. It is complicated and the other 4 are more so. In a few weeks I'll go there to play them with him. Felicia gave me the game DOX for my collection.

Dale and Phil saw a window display in Mendelsohn's in New Rochelle of Father's Day gifts. There was only one game - ACQUIRE.

Jim mentioned that he is on the mailing list of "The Executive Book Club" and that he saw AGOG listed as an alternate selection. (It sells for $5.95.) He figured that I'd know about it. Since I don't he'll mail me the circular. --> [Started on 7/2]<--

Jim told me that someone came to the "Skunk Works" to get about $60 worth of "Test Series Games." This fellow used to work for 3M. (Jim mentioned his name - which I forgot - and asked if I knew him. No.) This fellow now has some kind of a marketing operation. He told the ones there that they have a terrific potential. Red was supposed to get in touch with him today. Jim tried to reach Red from here but he wasn't in. The "Skunk Works" is now in a larger room at the back of the same bldg. Also it is less dusty.
