THURSDAY 14 MAY 1970 134th day - 231 days to come

Fay Baker called me at work. Called her in evening. She said there is someone (she won't say who) who is interested in TREASURE HUNT, but he wants the audience to be involved with betting, and I should work out the odds. Told her it was im- possible before my trip. She said that if she had to lose this guy she'll have to find another.

Rcd. the May-June GENERAL and the March NOST-ALGIA (#119)

Wrote to Ed Tucker with my next 5 selections in our PATTERNS II game.

Wrote to GAME OF THE MONTH CLUB (N.Y.) asking how come I haven't heard from them after sending them my $1.

black. Object to form a large cube with no line of 3, including diagonally, of the same color on any face. (Filed in 1970 Ad clips.)

"Gary and Riedal" - PENTAGON (Gameophiles Unlimited) - A jumping type game played on 5 concentric pentagons. (Filed in 1970 Ad Clips.) RECKON (Alpsco) - A new edition of ZAZZ, including 3 instead of 1 cubes. CARAPACE (Plan B) - Looked interesting. (Didn't take the time to get the details of any of these games. Will go to 200 5th Ave. when I get a chance.)

"E.S. Lowe" - Met Mr. Lowe. He was enthousiastic over AD-LIB, saying it was something brand new. Actually it was a- nother SCRABBLE imitation, the only novelty being that the pcs. were shaped to form the letters and the scoring values are on the board. (Have picture in the catalog he gave me.) I showed him AGOG and he thought the review section was something that was much needed. In fact that all games should be reviewed, as they are in Germany. He asked if I could send him a copy of AGOG and bill him. I said it would be much faster to get it at a book store.

"Mattel" - spoke to { Bob Nelson, Std. Plastic Products, Oaktree Rd., South Plainfield, N.J. He said he is now in charge of games for Mattel, and this time they are going to be a success!
