THURSDAY 7 MAY Ascension Day 1970 127th day - 238 days to come
Changed COMBINATION to use only 40 cards and it was good. BB was hooked on it.
Brian Blake called. Date with Harry Lorayne next Friday. I'll pick up the book Monday @ 42nd St.
To I-S at lunch. Showed her my MAN IN SPACE. She really liked it, but doesn't know exactly what to do with it. She had two games by a new client:- PSYCH-OUT :- A psychological game with players interpreting other player's drawings. (Have rules.) NOSTALGIA (The Ultimate Game) :- Pretty much a quiz game like TRIVIA. She heard that James Schisgall, who does puzzles for New York Magazine, is thinking of going into the game business. She feels that she just can't handle any more game companies and wondered whether I would want to deal with him, with me getting 15% of the royalties and her getting 10%. I said "yes" but suggested a 12 1/2% - 12 1/2% split. Dr. Berg, who had contacted me but then didn't follow up on it, was there with his game DOX. I saw it about 8 years ago (Have a card on it) when it was put out by "TRYNE." [diagram of 5 x 5 grid, each with a circle on it, except center square is completely shaded.] 24 pcs. are placed as shown. Players in turn take as many as they wish from any row or column (needn't be next to each other and can leave some in between). Player forced to take last piece loses. Felicia and I couldn't see how any company would pay royalties on this. But he can get the plates on the art work and Felicia might be able to sell someone on that. He left the copy and told Felicia that if she couldn't sell it, she should give it to me.
