Spent most of day on a letter to Lech Pijanowski.

N.Y. Times had ad for GAMES TO IMPROVE YOUR CHILD'S ENGLISH by Abraham B. Hurwitz and Arthur Goddard (Simon and Schuster). (filed in Book Ads).

Decided to put some of the Liberty File Boxes in the paisley room.

The catalog lists (Tony D'Ambra's) POK-A-DICE and SHAKY JAKE, an action game. Showed Dan the DECISIONS, DECISIONS review. To S & R. Spoke first to a gal and she introduced me first to Luongo. Showed him AGOG for a moment but he was late for an appointment. Then she introduced me to Lee W. Tiffany. He will send me two of their new ones, OPINION POLL and CARD-CUBES. The other new one is SPACE WALK LABYRINTH which is similar to LABYRINTH but with a different mechan- ism for tilting the path. (Have ad sheet.)

To I/S. Told Felicia about the International to save her the necessity of going there, while waiting for Bob Engel and his assistant Tom Burger to get there. They were both very pleasant. Tom Burger wanted a copy of AGOG and I offered to give him the one I had with me. Bob Engel insisted on Tom buying it on his expense account, which Bob approves. I signed it. Bob said that they still will definitely be putting out FOCUS and PHALANX in a more expensive, adult version, tho he doesn't know exactly when. He mentioned that it would mean more royalties for me and I told him about the contract I signed. He said that he would use the new edition as a lever for trying to get me a new contract like they are now signing; 5% with no cut-off. Bob will send me their new game DOWNFALL, and would like my comments on it. Tom gave me part of a 1969 (I think) Whitman catalog. Contained SLAP TRICK (action game), RUMMY ROYAL, STOCK MARKET GAME, DOUBLE TROUBLE, FOCUS, SPLIT, PASSO, DARK SHADOWS. After they left, Jake Williams came to bring Felicia a PUZZLE. (cont. on 3/9)
