THURSDAY 5 MARCH 1970
64th day - 301 days to come

Joined Arnold Shapiro at Felicia's. Took a quick look at CIRCUMLOCUTION which another client had brought in. It was the old idea of having circular paths spaced around a center point. Move along these. When land on certain spaces move in a ring, others force you out a ring, object to move from outer ring to center. (very rough idea.) Showed COUNTER-INTELLIGENCE (we didn't actually play it). anything). He wants it sent. Showed WHAT'S IT WORTH TO YOU? He wants it sent since they are again interested in games for 6 to 12, but not exclusively. Asked him about CINEMA and he said that Hollywood had lost its interest. Later I thought that I could change the theme to getting together a staff for a business; chairman, president, vice president, etc. Possible name - THE BRAIN GAME. He wasn't interested in SPELLBINDER. Left it with Felicia in case she could show it to someone else. Played about 20 minutes of MARLBORO COUNTRY (MATCHED SET). His comment was that there wasn't enough in- teraction, and I agreed with him. It should be changed so that players are trying for the same objects. I'm pretty sure I can fix it up, but Arnold said not to be in any hurry to do it. Arnold said that the higher ups seem interested in games again and he is hopeful that it can be launched by Toy Fair 1971. However he can't promise us. He is even more frustrated than we are, he said. The packaging is one of the problems they haven't solved yet. Felicia mentioned an idea from one of her clients. I said it was from Alice and me but Felicia said that this was something else. Felicia took us to lunch and we got to know each other better, (I left them to take care of a jury duty postponement.)

Called Claude in evening and told him about EXECUTIVE DECISION. Told him about meeting with Arnold and suggested that if he could complete SPLIT PERSONALITY it would have a good chance with x. Claude will think about it.

Tried to get Tom Atwater at the number Alex gave me. It was wrong. In evening called Concord but Tom was out. I asked his wife to have him call me tomorrow and she said that if at all possible he would.

Felicia called to tell me how she build me up to Arnold. She also said that he was pleased to get to know me better. Also she hinted that X was closer to coming out with the games than Arnold had said when we were together.
