The GROUP THERAPY cards came from Park Plastics. Put them in a box on shelf [14].

Rcd. announcement from GAME OF THE MONTH CLUB (N.J.). GO is this month's selection.

Made repros of several of the AGOG reviews to send to Jules Cooper.

Phil Orbanes called. Bob Hallowell has organized his new company, calling it "Gametime." ("Your Own Thing" was already taken.) Bob is interested in games as well as puzzles. He is going to Phil's this coming Friday to look at his games and next week he will come here to look at mine. Phil will call me Friday to set the date. (He will be in Cleveland Saturday & Sunday.) I suggested CINEMA as a possibility. He asked about AIRLINE and I told him it was pretty definite with Renwal.

(cont. from 2/10) [2/10] nine swords linking with two others, except 2 which link with 3. In evening realized that this didn't result in enough variety in the swords. Will have to make another layout with more interlocking.

(cont. from (3/1) [3/2]

it is easy to miss the diagonals) violates this rule he is penal- ized. (1 point - I think. Is the offending stone removed?). 11 points wins. Alex and I discussed by relationship to Tom Atwater. Alex said that Tom is always too busy to write and that he can drive you crazy that way. However he is a very good business- man and can get the best possible contract. Alex, for example, will never accept anything less than 5%. I brought up the idea of a foundation grant for studying games and Alex said he would definitely talk to Tom about that and that Tom should have the right connections for doing something. I showed my card games, the ones I was showing to 3M, to Alex, and he was interested in how I made them up. Later we went to a 5 & 10 together where he bought contact. I called 3M and spoke to Jim Krauss. Made appointment for 2 o'clock today.

To Statler Hilton and first to WFF'N PROOF booth. Ruth Patmore (cont. on 2/8)
