WEDNESDAY 4 FEBRUARY
1970 35th day - 330 days to come
Rcd. the Dec. (69) - Jan (70) S&T SUPPLEMENT and also a
"Poultron Press Staff Newsletter."
Wrote letters to Phil Cohen and to Paul Yearout
(who wrote about the ambiguity in CROSSINGS).
Called PLAYTHINGS Mag. to ask about the Jan. issue which I
haven't rcd. They were late in sending them out.
Played COUNTERPOINT with BB and lost a very close one to
her. (Usually I don't even come close.)
Cut corners on the PE-LING cards.
Felicia called. Because of the bad weather she called off
the date for me to come to her office tomorrow.
Started a letter to Jared Johnson.
(cont. from 2/5) [2/5]
he brings it in; possibly at lunch next Tuesday.
I looked at the description of Larry Nichol's PUZZLE. It
didn't give all the details, but it consisted of 4 cubes
held together with magnets - he says that mechanical means
can be used (Felicia said they can be taken completely
apart) - which have to be switched around to fulfill certain
conditions of the 6 outer faces.
Took home a copy of the rules and description of a new action
game by Connor Barret (spelling?). It is called DICEY or
TRICKY TRAMPOLIN. Will return it next Tuesday.
Connor, in answer to my suggestion that ORBIT needed
further work, stated that he tested it further and it
seemed O.K. to them. I told Felicia I'd try to find
time to play it again.
