1/21 THURSDAY 22 JANUARY 1970 22nd day - 343 days to come

Prepared a letter which BB typed [crossed out] explaining my corrections in the rules for TEMPO, INTERPLAY, and ODD OR EVEN. Mailed to Jim Rockwell.

Sent letter to Bob Engel @ Whitman saying I had mailed AGOG to him & Mary Hilt.

Felicia called to say that Jerry Dougherty had called her and asked if she could get 16 complementary copies of AGOG to use in his presentation to Enjay. She told him "no." Jerry called me and asked if I could get them. I told him I could get 40% off but I couldn't be sure how long it would take. He said that knowing publishers he'd buy them at bookstores. He also ordered 16 copies of the Nov. SCI. AM. to be included in the presentation package. I asked him about [crossed out] the travel games based on GO SEE. He said they are going to make a presentation to Braniff. If Braniff is interested then they will have me work with them in finalizing the game. He doesn't think it is fair to have me do too much work on speculation. Felicia called again to change our date for next Wednesday (which we made in her last call) to Tuesday. I'll bring her MAVERICK COUNTRY and she'll take me to lunch. I told her of Jerry's call and mentioned Sci. Am. She asked me to bring my copy so that it could be duplicated on her machine. I am worried about her reaction when she sees TEMPO, INTERPLAY, and ODD OR EVEN mentioned.

Rcd. a call from { Amanda Thompson Sensitivity Games Inc. [address] Boston, Mass. 02116 Her company heard of the games SENSITIVITY, ODD PIECES, CALPURNIA, WORKING PARTNERS, MAKING MOVIES, OPTIONS UNLIMITED, and ADULTERY advertised in "The N.Y. Review of Books" by NAMO Inc. Tom Atwater advised them that I might have some info. Told her that I had sent for the games but hadn't rcd. them yet. I'll drop a line when (and if) I get them. She asked if I had a copy of their SENSITIVITY. I told her that Tom had given me only the rules. She said she would send me a copy.

Returned the card to GAME OF THE MONTH CLUB (N.J.) saying I didn't want QUADS. Also sent the ad rate sheet for S & T and the advertising folder.

Gave copies of TAM-BIT & TAKE FIVE to Claude. Also showed them to Richie at "Toy Town" on Northern Blvd. Returned Claude's RECREATIONS IN THE THEORY OF NUMBERS. (Didn't read it.) (cont. on 1/21)
