Sunday 4 January 1970
Second Sunday after Christmas 4th day - 361 days to come
Wrote the new rules for TOTALLY--. BB typed it and tried the
solitaire version, thinking it was too easy. It wasn't. Put the
diagram on the last page. Dana covered the box and made a label.
Wrote most of my column for S & T, reviews of VECTOR and
QUADS, and started on LENSMAN. Gave the addresses of
the 2 GAME OF THE MONTH clubs.
(cont. from 1/7) [1/7]
Rcd. letter from:-
James Cochrane who bought AGOG in England. He sent me
war-game ideas which he offered to Avalon Hill, without
answer. He says I can use them freely. One about
"subversion" could be an interesting GAME idea.
Rcd. another letter from William Mikulas, this time directed to
Random House. He mentioned sending some suggestions
on VENTURE to me indirectly. Obviously he didn't get my answer
when he wrote this one.
He sent me the rules for a word-definition game - called
ZIP.
Rcd. a nice letter from Gary Silver and, separately, a copy
of the I.D.E.A.S. NEWSLETTER.
Gini Scott, the president of I.D.E.A.S., is the one who did
OH PEG IT and she remembers meeting me.
