SUNDAY 19 DECEMBER
Fourth Sunday in Advent 1971 353rd day - 12 days to come
Rcd. an card fr X'Mas card from the Richter's. BB sent one
to them.
Rcd. an X'Mas card from Ken Morgan with an apology for Wednesday night.
Rcd. issue #5 of GAME DESIGN, the last issue since it will be combined into MOVES.
TIMES had article that toys were doing "Ho Hum" except
for THE GODFATHER GAME and some staples, such as MONOPOLY, Kenner's SSP Racers, etc. (1971 Ad Clips.)
Called Earl Perel to tell him I was sorry that he didn't
get the SBA loan. Arranged to go there Wednesday. He
is not sure whether Claude will go or not, but thinks
he is more likely to if I go there. I said I'd call Claude.
Earl saw TAM-BIT for 99¢ in Klein's.
Told Earl about LOTTERY and he'd like to play it. Probably
I'll bring it Wednesday.
Called Claude. He was in the midst of a MANIPULATION
game and I just told him that I'd be at Earl's Wednesday.
He probably will too.
Wrote to Lester J. Gendron saying I would rewrite the
rules for LAWSUIT for $15 an hour, with a 10 hour max.
BB sent an X'Mas card to the Richters.
(cont. from 12/20)[12/20]
Rcd. X'Mas cards from Bob Edwards and Mary Hilt and sent out UNICEF cards to them.
BB typed the letter to Lester J. Gendron.
Started thinking of a mystery GAME for 3M (later
tentative name - FOREIGN INTRIGUE or ESPIONAGE) based on
spies not being allowed to visit certain cities.
Dale gave me a clipping she got from Phil, from the Dec. '71 issue of PLAYBOY. It mentioned (and showed)
NINE OF SWORDS, PITFALLS, & PLATO'S PLIGHT. ('71 Ad Clips.)
On TV (Ch 13, I believe) (David Suskind subbing for Dick Cavett - I believe), there was an excerpt from a program "Woman" which showed EXECUTIVE DESIGN, BAZAAR, MR. PRESIDENT, and a children's game as being anti-feminist.
