Read an Xmas card from Felicia.
Call from Felicia, she wrote to Keith Tuggle, and included my request for clarification on "Knowledge" game, stating that I said it sounded like FACTS IN FIVE.
When she spoke to Audy Luftig and told him about the "assignment" from 3M the thought it was a rather lousy scheme. He thinks that the participating inventors should get a nominal fee for submitting a game, to be counted against royalties if the game is accepted. Felicia sent this to Keith as a suggestion, not a demand.
She mentioned that I indented to write to him about the "knowledge" game but that I am over my head with work and she did it for me.
Andy Luftig doesn't think that he'll be able to come up with a game on order. He usually has to let things peculate for a couple of months. He has an excellent action game for up to 10 players which she'll be showing around.
Felicia also wrote to Jim Kraus asking about Wild Wood Pile. And she asked about Torts - The Game of Lawsuits, reminding him that 1972 is rapidly approaching.
She also wrote to Mary Hilt reminding her that Danger Straits, and Marlboro Country were put aside for her, in a nice way.
I brought up Focus and Felicia was sorry that she had forgotten about it. I told her it really doesn't matter; I doubt if Stancraft will be around long. Told her that I still hadn't gotten the third quarter report from them.
Felicia reminded herself that she had sent Mary the rules of a game several months ago. Mary had promised a quick answer, but it still hasn't come. (See 7/1.)
She read a letter from Bob Edwards. They are returning Spellbinder and High Finance (or Gold). They are still keeping Checkpoint and Planes.
When they returned I Sentence U Felicia wrote and asked them what their criteria are. Bob answered :- At first they have a committee play the game. If they are not enthused enough to want to play it again, it is dropped. If they like it enough to want to play again, they check it against other games they have of a similar nature to see which they like better.
High Finance (or Gold) evoked no interest. Spellbinder was liked but they liked other word games better. Actually they have enough word games now. He'll let Felicia know if they want more.
2 checks for Fitting & Proper will be sent next week. Felicia was talking to Ruth Shaler and told her about Go See and Research Games, even tho she intended to wait until she had something more definite to tell her.
Sellman told her that he is interest in Lillian Voegelin's What's It Worth In Dollars . But M.B. is also interested in it. I told Felicia that, unless she objected, I would tell Claude
