SATURDAY 11 DECEMBER 1971
345th day - 20 days to come
Rcd. a card from Roy Assenheimer who I met on the
Mary Knoll Storytime program on MANCALA (see 1/21).
Rcd. a letter from Colin Haycraft of Gerald Duckworth.
He wants me to send him two copies of AGOG.
Rcd. a special delivery letter from Keith Tuggle. They are
interested in two GAMEs for their 1973 Book shelf line,
a "Mystery Game" and a "Knowledge Game". They are asking a
number of inventors to submit games by Feb. 1, 1972.
More work on DIALEMMA puzzles.
At the art bazaar in White Plains bought 20 small plastic
boxes at 5 [cents] each, as holders for small game pcs.
(cont. from 12/12) [12/13]
own and that I would rather write onw of my own. They
understood. Also my objection to "gutting" (as Mitchell said)
AGOG.
They thanked me for my work and for coming there and said
the check would be sent right out.
At Brentano's looked at RICOCHET and got the info on the
board, which I later added to the rules repros.
At F.A.O. Schwarz looked at CHECKERS III. The rules on the outside

in the catalog (rcd. 11/2). Each player has 9 checkers
(not cubes as the catalog states) which are started in
the first two rows, on the light spaces. Men move and jump
only in the two forward directions. Kings are obtained in
the 5 triangle row across the board and Kings can move and
jump in all 6 directions.
Looked at PLAY ON WORDS for a moment. It is played with letter
dice which are placed on a SCRABBLE type (but smaller)
board with the object of getting the highest score thru
taking advantage of the spaces.
In Bloomingdale's the 8th floor toy section had what
seemed to be only left over stock - no EXECUTIVE DECISION,
ACQUIRE or gamettes. In the stationary they only had
KRESKIN'S KRYSTAL and none of the bookshelf or gamettes.
(See 11/9.)
Phil Orbanes called while I was out and left word that I
should be there tomorrow to meet with Bill Knox at 2:00.
I called him to see if I could make it a little later so that I
