WEDNESDAY 1 DECEMBER 1971
335th day - 30 days to come
To Skunk works.
Returned TRIREME to Jim. He ran off repros of the rules
and other info for me.
Ran off 15 copies of my column for S & T #29.
A salesman for a catalog (similar to Sweets) was there.
This catalog goes to all the college stares. Jim will be
included there. 3M and Stancraft are also included.
Jim showed me his letter to Pierre Berloquin. It didn't say
much. I'll cover the points that he didn't in my letter : -
that he'll get the rest of the back numbers as they become
available; that he is getting a one year subscription
that Jim is interested in having S & Tand the T.S.G.'s
published in France. What are the details?
I asked about the writer who asked about his ordered
copy of STALINGRAD III. It is still not published.
The reprints of the exhausted back numbers are not finished yet.
To Bob Gellman of Research Games. (He took me to lunch.)
Ken Morgan called while I was there. I spoke to him. He'll
call me in the next day or so. He is demonstrating MOVIE MOGULS
at F.A.O Schwartz next two days.
Bob told me of their plans for next year. They have an election game
WHITE HOUSE. A GAME based on the exploits of General
Patton. A card GAME with pictures of classic cars. A game
SCOTLAND YARD, based on some famous cases. Bob Schneider,
his partner, was working on this but doesn't have it finished.
He asked if I would be willing to finish it up.
Probably. He wants to take me to his plant in Lakewood
Friday to talk to Schneider about it. Told him I wasn't
sure whether I could make it.
I told him about AIRLINE and he was not interested. Wanted to
see it at once. Called Felicia and got her at home. We'll
both go to her place to show it. Felicia also spoke to him
abouyt other client's games. // He'll pay 5% royalties for my games.
Bob showed me the artwork for SCOTLAND YARD. It shows a
large magnifying glass with four small pictures inside
representing the 4 crimes.
Bob had a copy of MOVIE MOGULS for me but I asked him to bring
it to Felicia's tomorrow.
To Reiss Associates. Spoke to Manny Lefkowitz about
THE WORM TURNS. He said he liked it, but I couldn't get
a definite answer from him.
Spoke to Phil Orbanes (but forgot to talk to him about
THE WORM TURNS). Showed him the rules for 2-hand
FREE FORM. He likes it.
To BOOK WORLD to proof read my column. No changes except
that the info for ordering BUGS & LOOOPS by mail was
(cont. on 11/28)
