WEDNESDAY 6 OCTOBER 1971
279th day - 86 days to come
In Heidelberg looked in one store and didn't buy. In a second
bought AKTENZEICHEN XY UNGELOST. In a third store bought
DAS MILLIONENSPIEL and GELD & BORSE (which is ELDORADO with
a few minor changes).
Played 4 hand PROFIT with Rose & John. They liked it and
caught on very well altho we were all very tired. Carol played
with a lot of help from me, since she didn't see it at
all.
After playing thought of the idea of him limiting a stock bonus to
one certificate.
Rcd. 3 answer to SLEUTH problem.
Rcd. [illegible crossed out] the book CHESSHIRE-CAT-PLAYETH LOOKING-GLASS CHEESSYS

Towards end of afternoon called Jim Kraus collect.
PROFIT - told him about my changes and told him I'd send
the new setup of the cards and a new set of rules by Friday.
PLANES - he is sending it back since Keith is not particularly
interested in it. I asked if the bookshelf line waspretty
much filled up. Jim said yes, unless something really
exciting, like EXECUTIVE DECISION, came along.
WILD WOOD PILE - they are still trying to get the cost down.
I asked if they are interested in puzzles and he said
definitely. HECTIX has sold more units than any other
single item (per year?). I told him something about the puzzle
with the tentative name SKYSCRAPERS and he'd like to
see it. Told him that I'd be a month or so in getting it ready
and he said there were no particular deadlines on puzzles.
SLEUTH - Told him about the response to the puzzle in S & T. He
was interested and I promised to send a copy of my
