Yom Kippur - Day of Atonement

Rcd. a letter from Lou Zocchi (BATTLE OF BRITAIN). He is
interested in EXECUTIVE DECISION. He asked 2 questions
about ACQUIRE. He also asked how to submit a game to 3M,
and enclosed a stamped, self-sddressed envelope.
Rcd. 5 SLEUTH problem answers.
In CIM dept. store in Rome bought BATTAGLIA NAVALE.
Saw ACQUIRE & BAZAAR there. The package had the
English panels. Separate sheets told something about
the games and that rules were provided in Italian.
The toy store on the Via Veneta also had the 3M games.
Also an Italian version of M.B.'sFINDER'S KEEPERS.
BB wrote a post card to Pierre & Annie from the Vatican.
I gave her the address from memory and I think it
was wrong.
Played a full game of PROFIT with BB, using the rule allowing
trading of 3 cards whenever desired. Played o.k.

6 - 3s_______30 pts.
6 - 2s_______20 pts.
1 of each______30 pts.
2 - 3 of a kind (except no skulls
or crossbones) - - -30 pts.
3 skulls and 3 crossbones
is a - - - - - - - - HEX.
Players have up to 5 throws of all or part of the dice to get
a scoring combination. If succeed get the score and
then throw again in the same manner, continuing as long
as scoring combinations are made within 5 throws.
If, after his 5 throws are gone a player wishes he can
throw from 1 to 5 more times. For each throw he loses
10 points if he doesn't succeed (Jerry gave each of the
other players those points but I convinced him that wasn't
