                                                SUNDAY 25 JULY 1971
St. James, Apostle
Seventh Sunday after Trinity
206th day - 159 days to come
Called Jim Dummigan to see what he wanted me to do about
DANGEROUS PARALLELS (see 7/14). He just thought it might
be a good idea to do a column on clessroom simulation
games; maybe I could pick up some free material. I said it
was a good idea, but would have to wait until I take care
of the new games in my next two columns.
Jim is not sure that issue #30, the one I expected
to do the X-Mas roundup in, would be out before X-Mas.
Instead I'll do the roundup for #29. I can have until
the middle of August to get it to him. Then in #30 I'll
do the rest of the new games.
Jim thinks that by next summer we'll be ready to start
discussing the "Game Magazine", especially if he can talk
Bob Reiss into putting some money into it and helping with
the distribution.
I would be the editor but Jim would be the publisher
and I wouldn't be burdoned with those details. He figures
we would have to start with from 50,000 to 100,000
copies per issue.
I mentioned that Bob Reiss was going to visit me to see
my collection and to discuss some of my ideas. Jim suggested
bringing up the idea of the "Game Magazine". When I had my
doubts he suggested discussing it with Phil first.
I mentioned that Infinity-Quest will be getting some money in from
royalties on NINE OF SWORDS and some of Phil is just
a dreamer. Jim has 100 shares of stock that he bought for $1,500 but
is not expecting anything from them.
Wrote a letter to manufacturer [illegible crossed ou] thanking for copy
of BUGS & LOOOPS.
Sent Herb Siegel the catalog sheet on the game
THE TRAVELLER'S TOUR THROUGH THE UNITED STATES.
(cont. from 7/26) [7/26]

subtractions, and multiplications in a row of a box,
reading from left to right or from top to bottom - including
the main diagonals.

Each addition with sum of 18 or more - 20 points.
Each subtraction with result of 7 or lass - 10 points.
Each subtraction with result of 8 or more - 20 points.
Each multiplication with product of 15 or less - 20 points.
