SATURDAY 5 JUNE
Ember Day 1971 156th day - 209 days to come
Started working on OPEN BRIDGE. Saw that the physical work of the
layouts with the cards would really be a rough job.
(cont. from 6/4) [6/4]
work on it for a split of the royalties. Yes. He'll send me a copy.
He said he saw SLEUTH and asked if it was [crossed out] developed
from CASE OF THE ELUSIVE ASSASSIN. Yes.
PLOY is selling well. It was featured in an issue of PENTHOUSE
Magazine together with some of Frank Armbruster's things.
He asked me how Hallmark was doing and I told him that I had
11 contracts with them and that I hope they will finally get moving
next year.
His TOTEM is at Lakeside for consideration. I mentioned Frank
Armbruster's wanting to do it. He knows but is not sure whether
Armbruster is really in financial condition to come out with new
things. The inventors of BALI BUTTONS and MADAGASCAR MADNESS
have not been receiving royalties, or even reports.
I told Frank I'd try to get a copy of EXECUTIVE DECISION to send
him. But he said he thought he could get one from Bill Caruson.
Frank is on Schaper's mailing list for requested submissions. He
has several things under consideration at present. Next year Schaper
will move into sports games and games for older children. They
will stay with plastic.
Stancraft looked at his CONTIGO and Mary Hilt told him that the
molding costs would be too high for the limited number of copies
they expect to sell.
He mentioned the article on POWER in PACE Magazine and that he
would like to read it. Told him I'll get a copy to send to him.
I asked about Jerry D'Arcey. Lakeside rejected COMMODITY. He
made some money in manufacturing. "Clik-Claks" but it is dead now.
Frank doesn't know what he is working on now.
