THURSDAY 3 JUNE
Confederate Memorial Day (Tenn., Ky.) 1971 154th day - 211 days to come
Rcd. a letter from an AGOG reader. He asked me about [crossed out]
NYGA and about the feeling among game manufacturers
concerning sending games to different manufacturers at
the same time.
Called Felicia and she called me back. She asked if
I knew Lee Horn and I said that I had met her. After
reading an article in New Yorker about Joe Franklin, Felicia
thought that I would be a perfect subject for his program.
She called Lee but she is away this week. Felicia wants
me to follow up next week. I will.
The June McCALLS Magazine had a nice writeup on
THE LIB GAME and Gini Scott. She called the Pierce organ-
ization and spoke to Jan. One reason that they are limited
in their activities is that so far they have only rcd. 1 copy
of EXECUTIVE DECISION from 3M. Felicia also doesn't think
they know anything about EXECUTIVE DECISION or SLEUTH. I said
that as soon as I get time I'll go there and brief them.
Felicia rcd. a nice letter from Bob Edwards. They would very
much like to see a BRIDGE game (OPEN BRIDGE) and an
X-word puzzle game (X-CHANGE-WORD). Felicia is writing that
she will send them on June 15th.
Bob said they just rcd. the new version of LIVE WIRE and
should have an answer by June 15th.
Felicia gave me the telephone no. for { Lee Horn, 581-1416.
She asked if I had heard from Jim Kraus. Told her no, but that I
wasn't expecting to. She thought I might have heard about
PLANES. She is trying to get an answer from Jim on
TORTS - THE GAME OF LAWSUITS. She thinks she might be
able to sell it elsewhere if they don't want it.
The T.V. program "Today" had a segment on GROUP THERAPY and
brought out that it could be harmful to players who were unstable.
Harper's Bazaar also had an article on GROUP THERAPY and
SENSITIVITY. She hasn't seen it but she thinks [crossed out] it
also was uncomplimentary.
She asked what was happening with AGOG and I told her I'd
call and check.
Called and spoke to Fabio. He checked and then called me
back. He said that it had been the legal duty of the Random
House editor to inform me before remaindering the books, but
it had been his moral duty and he apologized for not doing
it. They are putting a tracer on the 25 free copies of
AGOG I didn't receive, but are also digging up another 25 to
send me. If they can dig up more copies I can buy them
for 65¢ each. I said I'd like 100 or a little more. He'll
check and let me know.
They have tried to get it placed in paperback, without success. For
getting it back I have to write a letter to Fabio request-
