TUESDAY 1 JUNE
Tuesday in Whitsun Week 1971 152nd day - 213 days to come
Gave a copy of FOCUS to our postman for his daughter - 13 year old.
Felicia called in the evening (not getting me in during the day).
Milton Bradley sent her two men who did a presentation con-
cerning education at the college level. There is a GAME which
is of no consequence. She told them about me and that I could
make it into a game, but that I would have to get a fat piece
of the royalties - 50% of their 65% she thinks, altho she
didn't spell it out to them. They agreed. She'll send me their
presentation and I will make my decision after reading it.
Herb Roth likes BING-BONG-BALL but he thinks the only compnay
that could do it right is Aurora, but neither he nor Felicia
have any connections there.
Herb Roth evaluates games for 3 companies. It is very con-
fidential since he doesn't want to be bothered by game inventors.
Herb didn't care for POWUR as well as AFRICAN CHESS.
Herb also manufactures parts as one of his operations. He
supplies the dice for Kontrell's NINETYSEVEN. He would have
liked to have taken over the manufacture and distribution of
BALI but Felicia and Alice only considered offers made to
them, not soliciting any. Possibly after the S&R contract
runs out he made do it.
I told Felicia I'd have OPEN BRIDGE and X-CHANGE-WORD to her
on June 14.
Mary Hilt wrote. She is returning CINEMA; too many com-
ponents. She would like FOCUS. Felicia's lawyer says she has
to keep a copy of everything from which they made money, so
she can't send her one copy. I'll bring one next time
I go there.
Made up a set for SPACE STIX. Played with BB and I won a
very close game - 107 to 104. // A better
logo would probably be as shown - for
X-CHANGE-WORD.
X CHANGE WORD
(cont. from 6/2) [6/3]
Fabio Coen (AGOG rights).
Felicia called. A former client, for materials other than games,
has a GAME and she will have him bring it in around
noon on 7/15. Told her that I was working on getting the
rights back on AGOG. She said that was good, but that
there is no big hurry. Told her how tied up I was with
OPEN BRIDGE and X-CHANGE-WORD and she said she wouldn't
call me before 7/15. I told her by all means to call if something
came up.
Call from Herb Siegel. 6/25 is O.K. for our visit.
Played SPECTRUM with BB using my new ideas. It played well
(cont. on 5/31)
