SUNDAY 9 MAY
Mother's Day
Fourth Sunday after Easter 1971 129th day - 236 days to come
Sent disclosure form to Kathy Brooks, together with a note
that Felicia had already sent her one for PLANES.
Sent letter to Keith Tuggle asking if he had rcd. my
marked up EXECUTIVE DECISION rules.
(cont. from 5/10) [5/11]
of a wire with a ball at the top. On either side of
the shooter there is a net goal, color coded to match
the shooter directly across the board from it. 2 or
4 can play. Each player has 10 ping-pong balls of his
color. All play at the same time trying to get his
balls into his colored goals. After all players have shot
their 10 balls the game is scored. A player scores 1
point for each of his own balls in a goal and 2 for each
opponent's that landed in his goal. (It is a very expen-
sive game. Players can too easily cheat by stopping a ball
approaching a goal flanking their shooter, or even in the
goal itself, and shoot it again. Also the goals can fill up be-
fore the game is over.)
Al and I played a game of TRY-COLOR. I think it could too
easily become stalmated, with neither player being able
to break a situation without ruining his position.
After Al & Adela left Irv Brambier came over, Felicia
had called him. He liked BING-BONG BALL but thought that
WHIRLPOOL didn't have enough play value to justify the
expense of the game. He left shortly after looking at the
games - but was very pleasant.
Felicia suggested that I get together when I get to London
with { Oliver O'Connor Barrett, Forge Studio, Alma Square, Manningtree, Essex, England
Told her I would and that
I would write to him well
in advance. Felicia said he
always send regards to me
in every letter he writes to her.
Felicia showed me the letter from Continental Airlines rejecting
GO SEE. (To difficult for casual play on the plane and not
enough interest for home use.) Also a letter from Jerry
Dougherty telling Ed Hart to go over the head of the one
who sent the letter. And if not successful in selling the program,
to bill Continental for work they commissioned.
She showed me a letter from 3M. The foreign royalties in-
cluded on our first quarter 1971 report were for the
4th quarter 1970 (a disappointment). They asked permission to
report foreign royalties a quarter later so as not to hold
up the reports. Felicia asked what she should do about it
and I said there was no point in having our domestic
