MONDAY 3 MAY
1971 123rd day - 242 days to come
Felicia called. She didn't go to the office today and wanted to know if I had read my statement from 3M. I didn't.
she also wanted to if I fad heard from Mary Hilt about when she'd be in for the Premium Show. Told her that I got a letter saying she won't be in. She asked, and I told her that there was no mention of CINEMA, 'NOMINATION' & DANGER STRAITS.
Told her that Mary sent me a catalog and that it was very attractive. Felicia has seen Stancraft catalogs and agrees that they are well done.
Told her that I was working on LIVE WIRE-SUDDEN SHOCK and that I could get it to her next Monday. She said that she is not coming in anymore on Monday's and will try to cut out Friday's too. Also that she is telling Hallmark that I am holding up the game, not her. I said that they keep us waiting all the time, to which she answered that we need them --they don't need us.
To Copy Shop. Ran of reproductions of the first ten pages of my father's translation of the historical material from KÁRTYA-KÉZIKÖNYV. The remainder was about famous gamblers, etc. And I decided not to send that.
Also go the rules for MEM and TAC-TICKLE copied.
Called: - Susan Calhoun, Money's Worth Magazine, 279-1500 (Ext. 32)
She asked me questions about the games on the market but she realized how big a project it is and that she can't be complete. Told her about my games and also put in a big plug for BALI when she asked me about classics.
She asked if she could use my name and I said yes, If I could see the copy in advance. She will sent it to me before publication.
She said that they would include AGOG and I told her about its being in [crossed out]
remainder stores like Marboros.
(cont. from 5/4) [5/4]
Felicia called and had been trying to get me. Told her that I'd been talking to Claude, so she didn't have to go thru the story again. She confirmed that DEDUCTION and BADDLE were the only tow they were offering back. Rael Cowan, the inventor of BAFFLE, will do the same as Claude about it.
I told her that I had the idea for making DEDUCTION into a puzzle. She said that puzzle-games and two-hand duels are first priority, and it would be better if it my idea can be played by 2. It can, by having two room layouts and having the players open windows in turn. Felicia asked if Claude would give me a share, and I said of course.
