SUNDAY 21 MARCH 1971
First Day of Spring 80th day - 285 days to come
Fourth Sunday in Lent
(cont. from 3/22) [3/22]
said "Originality" and he said "Yes."
Felicia's impression of the call was that he was feeling very
self confident.
Felicia rcd. a letter from Mary Hilt. She wants to see
MAVERICK COUNTRY as well as NOMINATION, CINEMA & DANGER STRAITS.
M.B. is interested in adult GAMEs that will televise.
Natelie Donna is coming along on a recycling GAME. Felicia
has been working on it with her and has made contributions.
Alan Turoff, incidentally, said that Natelie was not very inventive.
Long distance call from Jim Kraus. They send games out for
comment from various people (who apparently are not paid
but who enjoy playing new games & commenting). The model
of PROFIT did not come back from one of these, who insists
he mailed it. Jim did not have a record of the card layouts
and asked if I could supply the information so that he could
have an artist draw up another model. Told him I'd send it to
him. I asked him that if someone put out the game fraud-
ulently, would 3M fight them. He said they expect to make
"profit" on it also.
He said that PROFIT is one game that has been checking out
beautifully. They will probably use it just the way I did it
in my model.
He asked me about the play "Sleuth" in connection with the
game SLEUTH. They rcd. a request for the game from a theatre
address (on 44th St.-?). He checked in his file and saw that
I sent a letter suggesting the name (but preferring SOLUTION)
on Sept. 1, 1970. I later checked the play opened Nov. 12, 1970.
He will see that I get copies of SLEUTH and EXECUTIVE DECISION soon.
If I get PLANES to him by about the middle of April he will have
a chance to look at it and then talk to me about it during sta-
tionery show. I invited him here and he said he'd come - to
play PLANES, and SLEUTH.
Did some work in the evening on the NOMINATION cards.
(cont. from 3/24)[3/24]
working on the MIND MASTER project, especially since it had come
up prior to his meeting Felicia, should be just between the two of
us. I agreed. In a month or so we will get together to go over
what he has done so far.
Called Felicia to tell her that Alfons took FREE FORM. She was a
little high and went on about someone, she wouldn't say who,
accusing me of stealing a game idea and not wanting me to look
at their things. She told the person that she didn't need him.
