SATURDAY 27 FEBRUARY 1971
58th day - 307 days to come
Rcd. another letter from H.A.K. about TICKER TAPE. Would like
to hear from me and enclosed a post card & stamped
envelope.
Arthur called. Told him about my doings. Asked if he is working
on any new games. No. He is doing further investigations
on PLAYDANCE however.
I called Claude. He is working on a puzzle in which magnets
move pictures into proper position. Told me about it but
I couldn't get much over the phone. PUZZLE.
Thought of a puzzle I later called WILD WOOD PILE. Made up a
very rough set and played around with it. Then blocked
out a solution and made pieces - 24 "logs" to be stacked 4
on a level, levels being 90 [degrees] to each other.
At Allerton Ave. bought 4 3/4 dozen plastic cubes with different
colors on two opposite sides. (Put in "equipment" box-large). They
had a lot of other types, such as triangles with 3 different
colors that looked interesting. Will go back there in near future.
In evening played PLANES with Phylis and Harold Sapirstein. She
caught on beautifully and liked it. He wasn't thrilled. Played
that at the end planes of 3 or more could be emptied. OK, but
a little awkward.

curate. Pcs. move as many spaces
orthogonally as the number on
the pc. but may make as many
90 [degrees] turns as desired. Capture
is by replacement. Wibel said
there are variations. He will send
me a copy.
The other games he handles are

DOOP (see 1970), PENTAGON (took
picture & rules), and DRIVER-ED
(a children's race game).
