TUESDAY 16 FEBRUARY 1971
47th day - 318 days to come
Feb. MCCALL'S Magazine had a piece on the inventor of
THE EUCLIDIAN PILGRIM PUZZLE and a picture of the
puzzle. (Filed in 1971 Ad Clips)
Felicia called the TIMES had an article about a club on
72nd St. which rents tables for game playing @ 50¢ an
hour, primarily CHESS, BRIDGE, and GO. It is called
HOUSE OF GAMES. Felicia asked if I would be interested
in demonstrating ACQUIRE, and BALI there. I said yes and
she'll write to them.
She had a letter from Bill Caruson. The European sales of
ACQUIRE and BAZAAR for the 4th quarter were not in-
cluded. They will be included with the 1st quarter report.
Bill Caruson will not be at Toy Fair. He mentioned that
someone named Zeller would be.
Felicia has the models of Connor Barrett's game RUSTLERS or
CAPTURE THE CARGO but no rules. Told her I had them.
(Later checked and saw that I had only my own
condensed rules.)
Felicia found the material from Claude on DUEL and
ECLIPSE in her mail slot. The former has been mailed to
X but she is keeping the solution of the latter, since
they want to try to solve it themselves.
At Korvette's saw TIGHT SQUEEZE (Lakeside). It is a children's
game. There is a plastic tunnel thru which they crawl,
two at a time I believe, to get an object and then
crawl back thru.
Rcd. the INTERNATIONAL WARGAMER SUPPLEMENT (2/7/71).
Announced that subscribers would be receiving a game
SAIPAN within the next month. Also that REVOLT is
now appearing in the INTERNATIONAL WARGAMER (see 1/25)
and that ARIES will soon appear.
Another call from Felicia. She wrote to HOUSE OF GAMES. She
asked me about WILD LIFE and mentioned a game
WOMEN'S LIB by Gini Scott's company.
Bob Edwards told her that the first two pages of the rules
for INFERNAL BINARY MACHINE were missing. She told 3M
who had it first and they are looking. I told her that I
could supply them if 3M didn't find them. (Looked
later and saw that we never had pages 1 & 2)
She rcd. 2 copies on RACE THRU SPACE GAMES and Vir-
ginia wants her to handle it. If I don't get mine she'll
give me one of the 2.
The Rolling Front Game Co., who did BYZANTIUM will
probably do two more. If she gets them she will give
the GAMEs to me.
She heard from X that they rcd. LIVE WIRE. I told her
