FRIDAY 12 FEBRUARY 1971
Georgia Day
Abraham Lincoln, Born 1809 43rd day - 322 days to come
Wrote to Dr. Manuel Ma. Risueno who sent me the game
ZAFARRANCHO. I told him about CAROUSEL. Also told
him about TEMPO and answered a comment about
THREE MUSKETEERS.
Started letter to Don Laycock in Australia. Copied the
rules and board for CROWN RED to send him.
Rcd. an ad from "Dimensional Games, Inc." for a book called
3-D CHESS BOOK by Lynn R. Johnson.
NEW YORK magazine had a simple, satirical game called
COMMUNICATION.
Played PLANES with BB. Played very well. At the end portion
a player with a lot more of his tiles on the board
can rack up a big score. A possible equalization factor:
do not allow a "trick" of less than three tiles. Another
possibility: A player must take the largest trick that
he could win (largest in number of tiles). With more
than one with same number, has choice.
(cont. from 2/13) [2/13]
Rudy said that he had two other GAMEs but didn't
bring them because he wasn't coming from home.
Gave Rudy his old equipment for LIVE WIRE, also a
copy of rules.
Rudy left the equipment for LIVE WIRE-QUICK SHOCK.
Called Arthur and talked for awhile. Nothing speci-
fically about games.
Told Rudy I'd come to his house after Toy Fair to see
his other two GAMEs.
BB, Dale, and Phil picked up the shelves I ordered
from Sears - in Yonkers. I put them together and
put them in the corner where the filing cabinet used
to be.
(cont. from 2/14) [2/19]
and collects 1/2, 1/3, or 1/4 of the loser's treasury.
Fortresses on the duchies can be captured in the same
way, except that there is no loss of treasury.
A player on his turn can buy a pc. that was [crossout]
killed previously, paying the following amount to the "bank":
Infantry - $50,000, cavalry - $75,000, Artillery - $100,000,
(cont. on 2/11)
