WEDNESDAY 10 FEBRUARY 1971
41st day - 324 days to come
Rcd. a good batch of Poultron Press (S&T) stationery,
STALINGRAD 3, and a press card - originally marked
expires 1/172 and changed to 1/7/71. I'll have to call
Jim Dunnigan again.
Rcd. Feb. TOYS Parker has a new game MASTERPIECE.
Lowe has added new sports games to the one they had
last year ROSE BOWL COMPUTERIZED FOOTBALL. The new ones
are WORLD SERIES COMPUTERIZED BASEBALL and
PLAYOFF COMPUTERIZED BASKETBALL.
S&R has RPM, the Revolving Word Game.
The Gary and Riedel lists the following new ones:
COUPLES, BATTLE OF THE SEXES, GAME OF ETHICS,
CAVEAT EMPTOR, RECKON, 6TH SENSE.
Called Carl Eisenberg. We both agreed that next week
would be better to get together for me to take back
MANHATTAN MADNESS. I'll call Tuesday.
Phil Orbanes called. He is being let go from Allstate
at the end of this month, Jerry Goldstien [Goldstein?] told him. He
asked Jerry about my TAM-BIT and TAKE FIVE and
Jerry said I should check with Irv Lubow.
Called Irv Lubow and he was very pleasant. None of
the games are moving, but they are not discontin-
uing any of them. He hopes that they will do better
this year. He will tell their controller, Harding Smile, to
send me a report for 1970. He is busy now, so I
shouldn't expect the report for a few weeks.
Wrote to following AGOG readers:
Charles F. Harrington. (Enclosed COMBINATION.)
John C. Mebane, who sent me his PEOPLE CHASE.
(Enclosed COMBINATION.)
J. Conrad Schwarz, Ph. D. who, among other things, was
interested in seeing the material on "Yankee Notion
Cards." Told him they were in HOYLE'S GAMES by
Thomas Frere.
To Claude and Anne in evening. Brought Claude a
copy of S&T (#24). A friend's son is a history major,
and is interested in doing A-H type games.
Claude gave me the posts from a game of TRIPTIC he
bought for $1, for me to use for PLANES.
