SATURDAY 6 FEBRUARY 1971
37th day - 328 days to come
Rcd. a post card from Don Miller. THE GAMESMAN #6, hope-
fully, should be out by the end of February.
Art Cosing has invented a GAME and was interested in
contacting me about finding an agent, or having me act
as one. Don is surprised that I haven't heard from him
yet.
Rcd. a letter from Haar Hoolim. He has a new development
of FAR which he calls CONSECUTIVE. It sounds like it might
be interesting.
Rcd. the copy of TOURING from V.I. Gunther. It is
[copyright] 1926 which makes it somewhat earlier than the
one I have.
Wrote a short letter to Gini Scott telling her to call
me when she gets to New York.
Wrote to Maureen Moran telling her that INFINITY had
never been published.
Played PLANES, Phil & BB against Annette & me. Good, ex-
cept that, in 4-hand or 2 or 6, the side that goes first
plays the last tile to the board, so the other team gets
first crack at the smaller planes. I'll have to work out
some way of breaking the sequence.
Claude called. Wanted to get together Wednesday. I'll call
him tomorrow.
(cont. from 2/7) [2/19]
vinces. When a player wants to move across a bar-
rier into an enemy province he must announce his in-
tension one turn a head (unless he has a card) but
once announced a player can change his mind.
Among the cards there are some marked "Dead Reckoning."
When one of these is passed to an opponent, on his next turn
(before the end) he must get rid of all of his cards.
A player buying back pcs. must put them in a province
he controls. Once all provinces of a country are lost
(not necessarily the original provinces since the country can
continue in occupied provinces) the country is out. A player
is out of the game when he loses all three countries or
more usually, when he can't pay a fee called for by a card.
Last player wins.
Ships move along a "lane" as for as a player wants
until stopped by a line of another color than the player's
own. If he wants to pass it he must announce or use
(cont. on 2/1)
