MONDAY 18 JANUARY
1971 18th day - 347 days to come
Jan. PLAYTHINGS came.
A Toronto, Canada outfit called "Gameways" has prepared
a catalog of all adult & family games. They manufac-
ture party games, are planning a "Game-of-the-Month
club, and may do satiric GAMEs for a U.S. magazine.
(Later heard it was "Ramparts")
{ Pompadour Dominion, 91 Bloor St. West, Toronto 181, Ontario Canada
In Showcase had TRIPLE TILT by Funtastic.
In Classified Ads had DOUBLE CROSS - A patented word game.
A fun game where up to ten players can enjoy education and
laughs in one package. Low manufacturing cost. On a royalty basis.
Box 104.
Rcd. a note from Mary Hilt with the total sales for 1970
of TEMPO, ODD OR EVEN, and INTERPLAY. Very bad. The 4th
quarter was worse than the 3rd.
Rcd. a letter from Haar Hoolim. HAAR HOOLIM PERCEPTION GAMES
sold less than 5000 in 1970. He had a CHESS variation
called SLAVE CHESS.
BB typed the article for THE GAMESMAN and I wrote a
short letter to send with it.
Gary Sherbell called to ask what was happening with his game-
TORTS - THE GAME OF LAWSUITS. I told him what I knew about
it but suggested he contact Felicia. He rcd. a catalog sheet
on LAWSUIT. It is only a card game; no board.
Henry Pelham-Burn called and then put on his wife, Patricia.
She works for the Maryknoll Fathers who have a 15 minute
TV program on Ch. 4 each Sunday. She got the idea of a
program on MANCALA and would like me to appear on it. O.K.
Taping this coming Thursday morning.
She got the idea for the program while looking at the
the book COUNT AND CAPTURE (Cooperative Recreation Service).
It is in the U.N. Library (where Henry works).
(cont. from 1/24) [3/10]
the package already.
Told Felicia about the "hold harmless" clause in the Stancraft
contract. She agreed that I was right in not wanting to
sign and she would not sign for Connor altho she has
power of attorny for him. She will write to Mary that she
will not send the games until the contract is straightened
out. But I'll still try to get the games ready to go out at
the end of next week.
