MONDAY 11 JANUARY 1971
Alexander Hamilton - Born 1757
11th day - 354 days to come
Working on the diagrams for MANHATTAN MADNESS. Called
Carl Eisenberg and arranged to bring the rules to
him next tomorrow.
Rcd. an ad sheet from U.S. Playing Cards for POKERETTE.
(cont. from 1/12) [1/12]
in each spot. The top card from the proper deck gives
the result. There is a lot of emphasis on fouls.
(Felicia says the game is quite realistic, but I don't
think there is much play value.)
The inventor says that there are only two
BASKETBALL games on the market. I pointed out
that the T & N guide lists many, including
COMPUTER BASKETBALL. She was surprised, since
the product man for Tudor was making a special
trip to see it. They have a game listed,
but it is probably mechanical.
The man from Tudor is also interested in a
strategy HOCKEY game (saying that there isn't any
on the market - how about Computer Games & Ideal
which are listed in the guide?) Felicia asked if I
would be interested. I said it wasn't quite my in my
specialty and she agreed. She wanted to give me first
crack. she may try Sue.
(cont. on 1/10)
(cont. from 1/13) [1/13]
the 4th quarter was coming.
She is coming in for Toy Fair and definitely wants to get
together. She has an appointment with Felicia but
I'll have to meet her elsewhere, possibly here,
because of Tom Atwater. I explained how he had asked
me to do games specifically for Stancraft and I felt
obligated to have him as my agent with Stancraft.
She said that I knew her from before and therefore
didn't need Tom. I said i wouldn't feel right about
it and she agreed.
Jim Dunnigan and Jim Dingeman [illegible crossed out]
here for supper. The latter is working on an NLF (Viet Nam) game and
spent some time looking at my simulation games.
Otherwise not much on games. GAME [Arrow connects the word 'game' to the space after the word 'Viet Nam']
Jim says that the % liking my column is now up to 17%.
