SUNDAY 3 JANUARY 1971
Second Sunday after Christmas 3rd day - 362 days to come
Wrote the rules for the Hawaiian version of GO SEE
and BB typed them.
Rcd. a telephone call from Arthur. He'd like me to come
there. If I don't soon he'd like me to send him a copy
of S&T.
(cont. from 1/8) [3/4]
Tom thinks that some of the Cambridge games need doctoring
and asked if I would be willing to do the job. Yes for a
pc. of the royalty. He'll check with them.
He told me that 3M is working on a new line between the
Bookshelf & Gamette in size.
He said that Hallmark is looking at 20 items by his clients.
No contracts yet.
I theorized that Hallmark would be starting with a
full line because they did not want the stores that would go
into games because of them to have room for other games. Tom
agreed.
Some further notes:- Marvin Glass did Parker's MASTERPIECE.
Dave Langhridge is now out at Parker, leaving only people put
in by Bill Dohrman.
Mattel has a lot of games on hand ready to follow up if
BOUNDARY goes well.
Frank Armbruster, whose name came up in connection with
INSTANT INSANITY, is a nice guy, but a "loser" according to Tom.
The company that put out MEM is just about out of
business and Anatole Holt has pretty much lost interest.
In the earlier telephone call Tom was quite discouraged and
was talking about leaving agenting unless this year is
very much better than last. Then, particularly after he
spoke to some distributers who were enthusiastic a-
bout handling the "Small Wonders" line, he was in much
better spirits.
[arrow pointing both up and down] [started 3/4]
Rcd. a letter from [bracket] Gerald E. Tanber, Professor of Physics
Tel-Aviv University
Ramat-Aviv
Tel Aviv, Israel
He saw Martin Gardner's write up on me in SCIENTIFIC AMERICAN.
He is interested in mathematical board games. He has ordered
AGOG but it takes him a long time to get it.
