SATURDAY 2 JANUARY 1971
2nd day - 363 days to come
Rcd. IDEAS NEWSLETTER Vol. 3 - No. 1. Gini is trying to
organize affiliates outside of San Francisco.
Finished and sent off letter to Pierre. Listed the
material I wanted him to send me and that that
I had promised to send him. Asked if he was still
interested in the things I haven't sent yet. Told him
how much I liked LE LIVRE DES JEUX.
At the Laurences watched a game of LIVE WIRE be-
tween Phil & Eliott. Then I played a game with Phil.
Brought PLANES with me but we didn't get a chance
to play.
(cont. from 3/8) [3/7]
Got an 1971 catalog:- CAMPAIGN is a new Napoleonic
war game. Westnedge will send me a copy. He was interested
in whether the name was used. Told him it was and will give
him the details when he calls me tomorrow. BUCCANEER is
Parker's TRADE WINDS with the ports changed to Europe
(but not the art work). Took a set of rules which I put to-
gether with TRADE WINDS. KOLOR KRAZE and BEAT THE ELF
(see 5/17/70). The 6 "House of Games" puzzles - how called
"The Mind Benders." ONE TOO MANY - balancing plastic figures.
There are also a series of "Long Playign Games" packaged
like long playing records, to be displayed in rack. This is
Rubbens' idea. GUARD which is AGOG or QUEEN'S GUARD.
ASTRO-BLITZ - the board was reduced and made round.
ASKWARDS - 2 to 4 play. Move along multiple paths by throw
of one die. When land on a space write the letter on that
space, in a continuous row. Make words from the letters,
without changing order. Score 1 pt. for each letter in the
word. (Eg. PEGAGAYLYZX - can for PEG, GAG, GAY, GAYLY)
20 pts. wins. SKUDO.
[Drawing 1: 6x6 grid with "x" and "+" drawn in alternating in the first and last two columns. To the right of the grid is written "POINT BLANK"]
[Drawing 2: drawing of a 7x7 square intersected down the middle horizontally and vertically all divided into blue, yellow, green, and red colored spaces and assigned numbers between 30 and 100, all denominations of 10, with the very center spaces divided into four quadrants each colored blue, yellow, green, and red. To the right of the drawing is written "DOUBLE CROSS"]
(cont. on 1/1)
