FRIDAY 1 JANUARY 1971
Happy New Year - Circumcision
1st day - 364 days to come
Spoke to John Grimaldi a little about his P.R.
firm and the Hallmark account. (See 12/31/70).
John's telephone number is 379-7365, 2931 Mickle Ave.
Called Felicia about what John told me. She was
happy to hear about it. It was O.K. that I said I
had the 9 games with Hallmark, as long as I
didn't mention any of the names of the people
I was working with there, which I didn't.
Played LIVE WIRE with BB.
Pete Swift called about TABLERO DE JESUS. He can
get metal coins but they are quite expensive. He asked
what I thought of reducing the number from 18 to
15 per person. I suggested 2 denominations, such as
9 - 1's and 3 - 3's per person. He'll work on that.
Wrote to Violet I. Gunther of "Choice Antiques" (See
12/31/70) saying I want to but her copy of TOURING.
Started a letter to Pierre Berloquin.
(cont. from 1/2) [3/7]
POINT BLANK (See Illustration). Pcs. move one space
or make short jump or jumps over enemy pcs. Win by
capturing all enemy, or if neither can make further
captures most remaining wins. Pcs. move and jump
in the directions of their diagrams (x or +).
DOUBLE CROSS (See Illustration), 2 to 4 play. Each res. 700 in
play money. Each player selects a token card and places it on
the corresponding corner square. The player owns all the squares
of his token colour. High roll of die decides starter.
Players may move their tokens in any direction. Every time
a move is made money is collected, as follows : -
(1) Land on a square of your own colour - collect that amt. from all.
(2) Any other colour than your own - collect that amount from owner.
(3) A square occupied by another token - collect double the amt. from
token's owner. Also collect in usual manner for landing in that sq.
(4) Your own color is center - collect double the amt. their token
is on from all. Players eliminated as they lose their money.
These long playing games will sell for about $2.50.
I told Rubbens about Pressman and DOUBLE DECKER.
He was quite concerned about it and will go to see them. I
asked that he don't say I told him; he wont.
Met Mary Hilt at 6 and drove home. Explained my
problem with Felicia and Tom and she understood.
She won't say anything to Felicia about visiting me.
