TUESDAY 15 DECEMBER 1970
349th day - 16 days to come
Rcd. [received] the cover and back of the card art for SLEUTH. Also some of the cards. The greens and blues are a little [illegible, crossed out] hard to distinguish. Aside from that it looks good.
Rcd. [received] a card from Herb Siegel[red dot]--an old card used in 1912. Also some more holiday stickers.
Dec, PLAYTHINGS [red dot] came. Sent card for the following games:
LET'S BOWL-A-GAME [red dot], LET'S PLAY FOOTBALL [red dot], LET'S PLAY BASKETBALL [red dot], LET'S PLAY GOLF [red dot] (DMR Co.)
LAWSUIT [red dot] (Laugh & Play Game Co.)
COMPUTAMATIC FOOTBALL [red dot] (Electronic Data Controls)
BUGS & LoOOPS [red dot] (Creative Specialties) - computer kit with 6 games.
The Israeli game DO-RE-MI [red dot] is also mentioned and a sample is available from: [next three lines are within the same { bracket]

To Felicia[red dot]'s. Brought here a copy of BOOK WORLD [red dot] with my column. Returned the 3M ad listing. She gave me the $46.87 check for my share of INDIAN CHESS [red dot]
Rudy Lopex [red dot] in. Showed my version of LIVE WIRE [red dot]. Felicia liked it very much. So did Rudy, except that he thought it was too difficult for children. (So do I, but it's not meant for children.)

He showed us another ["game" crossed out] GAME [red dot], unnamed so far. The board is as shown [see above board]. There are 11 square pieces. There are two sets, one red and one green, with numbers on two sides -- 1&2, 2&4, 3&6, 4&8, 5&10. The 11th pc, is colored red & green and has 0 on one side and 11 on the other.
The pcs. are placed at random on the board leaving one space open. The first player moves a pc. of his color to the empty space, turning it over if he wishes. If he can find a line of 3 numbers (looking at the vertical rows or the horizontal with the empty space) that is a valid equation for the operation showing he scores one point (as 4-3=1 with subtract showing). I suggested giving extra points for divide and multiply.
If a player scores he plays again by moving the result digit to the empty space and can continue as long as he scores. When he fails to score the other player continues by moving any piece with his color.
Rudy wanted me to work on this with the same 50-50 split. I said that he should try to do it himself, but that if he hasn't done it in a month or so I would probably try it.
He told us that he had taken his ship [crossed out, illegible] game with the gadget for determinining [as written] the move, ADVENTURE AT SEA [red dot] (see 9/8) to "Hasbro" and they were interested in it. He of-
