Rcd. [received] 12 copies of BOOK WORLD [Dec. 6 added with '^' above] from Eve Auchincloss. They cut out the review of VENTURE but mentioned it in a short mention of me; also AGOG. It was good editing.
Call from Felicia. Rudy Lopez called her and they set up a date for next Tuesday at 10:30. He has some other [crossed out letter] GAMEs to show us, but Felicia said to be very careful not to get involved with any of them unless I am really enthousiastic about it [spelling as written].
She would like to have 2 copies of the BOOK WORLD article.
Called Jack Davis to tell him about WCBS-radio not calling me. He was suppose to call back but didn't.
Called Carl Eisenberg and told him I'd have MANHATTAN MADNESS (he likes the name) ready by next Monday. He'll call me to set the appointment, since he has to see his backer, Guud, on Monday.
Told him that I have worked out a game too.
In evening playing with the towers and confirmed that a mini-solution with each size tower in the center was quite easy. Also worked out another series of puzzles using the pieces as thrown on their sides.
Post had an article on Games which mentioned SMOG, DIRTY WATER, QUINTESSENCE, PLEX PUZZLE, and a few others.
(cont. from 12/19) [12/19]
Called Phil Orbanes and told him of Carl's desire to cut down on the advance for MANHATTAN MADNESS. He'd rather not, but he'll speak to Carl.
Asked him about his game [illegible word crossed out] which Carl will do. It is a gambling game called PRIX, played with cards (I believe) and [illegible word crossed out] a betting board. Players have to keep putting up more money if they go in and have to be very skillfull in all their actions. [illegible word crossed out] (No details given.)
Phil has done a number of original GAMEs for Allstate but doesn't know if they'll ever be done. Allstate is getting a much larger office in Toy Center North. He hasn't seen Jerry Goldstein (?) in months.
Asked Phil if he had the entire equipment for CONFRONTATION since Jim Du_nigan had lost a chart from my copy. Yes, and probably duplicates.
Asked about the stock option. If they go public they will probably split 100 for 1 and my 100 shares will be
