THURSDAY 29 OCTOBER
302nd day - 63 days to come
Rcd. a letter from R. ZUBRIN listing the patents his
search for THREE SIDED CHESS found:
384,195 (June 5, 1888)
1,704,819 (March 12, 1929) [I have this one down to order.]
611,450 (Sept. 27, 1898)
437,838 (Oct. 7, 1890)
Zubrin said they are more variant from CHESS than his
game and some quite original.
Rcd. a form letter from Bob Abbott with his new address &
(unlisted) phone number.
{Bob Abbott
{31 Jane St.
{New York, N.Y. 10014
{989-2321
Called Felicia to tell her i was back from the hospital.
Got answering service and she didn't call back.
Played part of a game of EXTINCTION with BB, Dale and Phil.
I didn't think it was bad. BB didn't like it
(thought it was actually a war game) and started fooling
around with Daisy. (I was uncomfortable and annoyed.)
Claude called during the game and we didn't speak long.
BB called Tom Atwater in Concord. Not in and spoke
to his wife. She said she'd have him call if he was
back before 11. Didn't get call.
(cont. from 10/30) [10/30]
on ACQUIRE.
Called Claude and had a long talk. He is rather discouraged
with working with games, and i told him I
didn't blame him considering the bad luck he has had.
He then reminded me of the way I had persevered for years
with rejection after rejection.
Arthur called to see how i was. Told him I saw his ad
in the VILLAGE VOICE mentioning HIGH DECK and THREE. He and Wald are running a series of ads in both the
bulletin and public notice section, once a month for a year
just to see if they can generate some interest.
